The Department of Information Science and Engineering actively promotes research and innovation among both faculty and students. Emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary research, funded projects, patents, and consultancy to contribute towards technological and societal advancement. Our department regularly publishes in reputed journals and conferences, encouraging a strong research culture. Students are also guided to take part in real-world problem solving through projects and hands-on learning. We believe in creating a space where new ideas are welcomed, explored, and turned into impactful solutions.
Responsibilities of Department Research Coordinators:
- Creating and maintaining a database of faculty and student research projects within the department.
- Guiding students and faculty in identifying research problems and preparing project proposals.
- Coordinating with the Dean (Research) and Associate Deans for approvals, funding, and reporting.
- Monitoring the progress of student projects and ensuring timely completion and documentation.
- Facilitating research training sessions, workshops, and project exhibitions at the department level.
- Ensuring adherence to research ethics, originality, and academic integrity in all student projects.
- Encouraging publication of project outcomes in journals or conferences and promoting innovation and patent filing where applicable.
- Ensuring that all procedures and protocols are properly followed.
